WORKOUT 4 - Rick Gaugler Workout
Rick Gaugler, a superstar of the 70's and 80's
in the 148, 165, 181, & 198 lb. classes, was famous for using this type of
workout!
It is made up of 4 - 4 week mini-cycles, but we have also used
2 - 8 week mini-cycles with equal success.
The advantage of this
workout is it allows you a brief recovery period every 4 weeks to recuperate
and recover from injuries or overtraining...but it never drops too low in
weight as to allow strength gains to be lost!
Many of my workout partners
use this workout frequently, now
(…..that they are over 40….heh heh heh).
